Our Story
Abigail Preschool was established by Mochammad Qalby, S.H, LLM, PhD (cand) and Andi Bau Wandina, S.E under Abigail Insan Utama Foundation, who believe that early education plays a vital role in developing a foundation for child’s future learning. Through their experience living in the UK for several years, they recognise the need to create a pleasant and supportive learning environment to develop children’s intelligence with the proper stimulation based on the stages. Train self-confidence and develop a character that makes children more responsible and collaborative and becomes a creative problem-solver that will prepare children for future challenges. These motivated our founders into established Abigail Preschool in Makassar.
An Inspiring Name
The name of Abigail Preschool was inspired by the name of the First Lady of the United States, Abigail Adams, who was also one of the first advocates of women’s equal education and rights.
In Arabic, the word Abigail means “the father’s joy” or “the source of joy”. This is compatible with our philosophy to create a joyful place for children.
